wow mate nice stats. congrats on getting to where you are. i remember you starting that thread like it was only a week ago.. what weight you aiming to reach/maintain?

approx. 170ish cm, 68kg. i topped out at about 72kg a couple of years ago, but had a massive lifter's gut. was one of those 60 keg skinny guys from high school, and i've actually dropped back down to near that twice in two years after falling off the wagon for an entire winter + longer. but ever since i've floated between 65-70. i think a lean low 70s is where its at for me, used to want to get swole as but now i'm aiming for a more bruce lee build eheh.

tuna sandwiches. with exta tuna. add more tuna, and don't forget the tuna.

Couple of weeks ago I was 98kg. I fluctuate around 100kg which is good considering I'm 197cm. I would love to convert about 5kg of that extra weight into muscle though, so need to up my cardio to burn some off, then get back into the gym and put on a little more muscle.
I'm almost where I want to be.

74ish kilo's and on the decline, should hit 73 by the end of the week, 70 in 7 @ 8ish% BF just before the race. Haven't really changed the diet alot but have upped the cardio significantly, aiming for a functional triathalete build, somewhere around the lines of the dude out of true blood.

join me then tobes!

my partner and I just challenging ourselves to get through 12 weeks of clean eating just to shed to get a bit leaner. we had a bad few days over the weekend eating way too much shit, so just want to clean it up. frankly, eating shit makes me feel really shit - my body just can't handle sugar and carbs they way it used to, so thought I'd make a challenge out of it, and hopefully by the end of the 2/3 months I'll be in a routine I won't want to stop.

Oh don't worry I've set myslef a couple of challenges;

1. Actually go to gym.
2. Lose tuck shop arms
3. Look good in bridesmaid dress for friends wedding in Feb
4. Get swole
5. Profit.

Today I was 98kg and I'm 5'10"-ish. I fluctuate between 85-105kg but it's coming back down again thanks to not eating shit food and cutting down on carbs but maintaining protein intake.

Had a heart thing a few years ago so I haven't done cardio in years but I'm mid-way through getting tests for it now and if all goes well I'll try running again.

I've got no weight goals but once my fat has visibly dropped to a reasonable level I'll start lifting heavier and eating more again. Might be a while though, there's nothing 'rapid' about my fat loss ATM.

about 181cm and prolly around 101-102kg atm. Have put on a fair bit of weight in the last few months due to a variety of factors, alcohol, patchy diet (I eat plenty of good stuff but eat shit as well) and going from a physical to a sedentary job. Went for a run for thefirst time in ages tonight, managed about 3.2km at a decent pace but feel knackered from it.
Would like to get down to around 90kg, I'd be fairly trim at that weight with my build. 95 with lowish bodyfat would be even better though!!

good plan! I've got my wedding next October and don't want a mad 4 month cut just before the wedding. I want to be at my weight for a good 6 months earlier so I'm starting now! time to get lean.

Hmmm, I'm still losing weight even though I'm eating at maintenance... 58.9kg today, I haven't exercised this morning and I'm well hydrated. Recomping is hard.

I am eating at maintenance, but I'm expending so much that it's obviously still creating a deficit. It's hard to find that sweet spot of maintaining without gaining/losing weight

The body has a knack for finding its natural weight. You'll level out at some stage.

What P337 said.

Just so we're clear: (no trollo/****to) "recomping" is a flowery way of saying bulking, right?

I just had a conversation with my gut, and he said that making him smaller and getting muscle mass were mutually exclusive.

Srsly though, concentrate on one or the other.

Cliff-notes: Don't listen to Astro, his definition of bulking is double desserts.

True. when I'm active I level out in the low 90s, takes heaps of effort for me to drop much below that though.

Different approaches for different problems. Recomping is possible, but some skinny guys trying to add muscle quickly means adding some padding along with it. Linear progression type programs without a calorific surplus don't work so well.
