Thought I'd post this here rather than the BF3 thread-

Is motionjoy running while you try and install the XBox controller?

If you want to uninstall motionjoy, try the following -

If that doesn't help maybe try these suggestions-

I've been through most of that. Cheers for the input. I'd actually uninstalled MIJ long ago, so it took me a while to figure out it was the culprit here. I don't have any of the entries it says I should in device manager either.

I think my next step is to reinstall MIJ, connect the PS3 controller, then with the controller still connected, close and uninstall MIJ, then go to device manager and manually uninstall the drivers.

Nice piece of software you jerks.
