Kyle Stanley has completely screwed me this week. He only lasted about 5 minutes yesterday and i copped him as an AE with 3 points.

I now need to rely on Dave Taylor and Sam Burgess scoring 140 combined for me to win my H2H match. Very doable but it will be a nervous night for me.

The top 8 progress to the finals. 'Points Difference' decides the standing for any teams on the same points.

Total points don't really count in H2H. It's just the number of wins and your points difference.

So if i came 2nd in overall points but lost most of my H2H and was not in the 8 i would miss out?

Why do people say im going for overall points and not H2H?

Sorry for asking so many stupid questions.

Going for overall means you are trying to score the highest points possible for the entire season. If you manage that you win the major prize of $20k or whatever it is. You need to take into account the bye rounds and try to field lots as many trades as possible. Most people who are going for overall will have fuck all trades left because of this where as H2H players are only concerned with the weeks they have match ups so should have a lot more trades in hand.

if you're not in the top 500~ by this stage you're probably out of the hunt for the 30k.

best bet would be to concentrate on h2h (if it means anything to you) or just aim for a PB rank.

Can't be much worse than the 1 i got for Carney and the AE of 8 i got from Marketo subbing for Billy Slater.

Starting to think that was a serious mistake holding him for so long to save a trade. I have lost at least 1 (possibly 2) H2H matches by narrow margins when i would have won if i had a starting fullback (even a mediocre one).

To play the full 80mins without injury and still only score 1 is quite a special performance.

i think croker had a similar performance last year and scored 0 in 80 minutes. no AE was given

My first year of playing, when I had no idea. Matt Bowen was my captain (I know, I had no idea) he got minus 4 and because he was my captain for -8. I still laugh about it to this day. Such a rookie error

One of the leagues I'm in is the 7th overall. Hopefully we can get a top 5 finish.

alternatively we can just take the top 16 posters in this thread and make that itm#1 next season

I think the top 8 from both leagues should go into league #1 to make the 16.

Us other shit ****s can then get relegated to the crappier league.
