Never before heard or performed in Australia, this proper old school, acid infused live set is guaranteed to be an absolute onslaught of all that is funky, slamming, screaming, thumping bass heavy, stomping, tribal, percussive and fundamentally underground! Experience it and be part of Sydney underground techno history.

SWARM is proud of the fact that we can unashamedly lay claim to having consistently waved the ‘underground techno’ flag for over fifteen years in Sydney, regardless of whether harder edged techno was perceived as popular or unpopular we have always defiantly stayed true to our initial ethic, keep it underground, keep it real, expect nothing, give everything, make it loud!

Our genre of choice therefore, the harder edged percussive 4/4 based underground techno sound, be it acid, funky, tribal, straight, slamming or whatever way you wish to describe it, is something that needs to be understood as precious and worth protecting. Regardless of whether this sound is ‘massive’ overseas or not, if the extinction of the sound in Sydney occurs, then path to reigniting the scene will become almost impenetrably blocked.

Naturally therefore we have aligned ourselves with like minded individuals, punters and performers alike that have gravitated towards our sound throughout the years, one of those individuals is Chris Liberator, an artist whose personal contribution to the global under techno scene often defies convenient description. Chris Liberator is nothing short of a techno ambassador par excellence, and we are immensely proud to have had him becoming such an intrinsic part of SWARM throughout the years.

Nice. How long is CL playing for? There's a chance some Orbital fans would come after the Metro (Orbital playing at 12). Hoping for Liberator to be on at 1:30 or later

Tempe is easy to get too... about 10 mins from Newtown.

Nod to Lima... venue is indeed dark & dirty, perfect for techno.

6 head... hahaha, he is was indeed mental, however DIGITAL WHAX which is a combination of a guy called Syndrome and DVS both from Melbs will deliver just as much hardness... perhaps more.

Last time was insane, this is gonna be pretty special. Of all the times I have seen Chris play, I've never seen him do a live set. Absolutely can't wait!! And Sterling is really excited about finally visiting Sydney and Swarm

This is gonna be one mental night! Any idea on his live setup?

Gear wise, it's half old school, half new.. ie: a 909 and 303 with Ableton and a bunch of FX and controllers in tow.

Will be a mental experience what ever the case!
