^ yea up in far north queensland the native dialect can be a bit hard to decipher. In Townsville for example there are three main types of trash: white rednecks, aboriginal alchoholics and army hoons.

^ ok its in north queensland... the dialect part of my post was related to travels north of townsville, not sure where the border of FNQ is but I felt it was close by

Coming back to Canada after four years has made me realise Melbourne is truly my home now. Feel a bit foreign here to be honest but that's okay because I love Australia and am super happy to call it home. I was always a bit hesitant to settle down in Melbourne and develop some good friendships as I've had to say goodbye too many times but feeling pretty confident that won't be happening this time around.

The great thing about Canada feeling so different is it feels like a proper vacation coming here! Really looking forward to coming back again soon and seeing some parts of the country I haven't had a chance to.

Honestly it's a fucking shithole here. Half the roads in the city are upturned due to the harsh winters and traffic is so crazy due to the city's exploding population and the most incompetent urban planners ever to exist. Plus everyone is a dumb hick so they can't drive. The outright racism towards the new immigrants gets really old as well.

The only things I like about this place are the northern lights, the camping up North and the restaurant in the city that looks like a cave, it's the most delightfully tacky thing ever.

In all seriousness if you like to fish there's some world class freshwater fishing here! Best in Canada for sure.
