Stopping shoes from fading?
I got a pair of black vans which i havnt worn for a while and they've started to fade a bit like into a less black colour. I've tried soaking in warm soap water but as soon as it dries it still isnt black. Is there anything i can buy and soak it in so it'll be a nice shade of black again?

Cheers

How much have they faded? I can only think of two reason:

A) Because psychologically, as soon as you walk out of a store with a product, without the high of the shopping experience it becomes less 'new' and therefore is less outstanding in colour.

or

B) Items of clothing sometimes have a residual build up of dye which will come off naturally.

Probably both.

Why are you using warm water on black? Cold only, warmth will accelerate fading.

I can teach you a super-quick noose Peaks, it's the only way. None of this fancy schmancy new age easy-way-out-drugs-for-suicide business.

they look better faded, but if you must have them black then urinate on them, it will hold the dye fast

I've had terrible problems with shoes fading. Jeans and jacket for that matter too. This one time I saw an old photo of myself, and it was like I was fading right out of the picture. I fixed things by having my parents kiss on the dance floor at their high school prom.
