KULT @ the clubhouse - 25th May - John Ferris, Tall Timba
KULT is back at the Clubhouse in May bringing you the straight-up sounds of techno, minimal and acid.

Only this time it's a little different, with two of Sydney best underground DJs arriving in our fair city to battle it out on the decks with our fine locals over two hour sets.

Set times announced closer to the date.

------------------------------------Line-up--------------------------------------------

-----John Ferris (SYD)-----

John Ferris, DJ, club promoter, radio DJ, occasional producer, remixer and writer is also the holder of the inaugural award for Outstanding Contribution To Dance Music in the 2000 Australian Dance Music Awards.

For John, DJing has always been about pleasure and exploration of sounds, beats and rhythm within a created environment. Playing with the familiar without being didactic. New tunes, cool tunes all mixed with odd tunes and some familiar tunes, making more than just a review of whatÌs hot or whatÌs not threaded together with seamless mixes, overlays, spins and dropped beats.

-----Tall Timba (SYD)-----

Dave Gillard, aka TALL TIMBA, started collecting 12″ Dance Singles when he was 13. From there a life-long love of dance music developed, that has sustained thru as many eras of Dance as there have been genres. Always with an ear for a hot tune, Dave has been heavily involved in the Australian Dance & Music scene since the start of the 90s.

Inspired & educated by an exciting local club & music festival scene, frequented by a never-ending stream of ‘world class’ local & international DJs, along with regular trips OS to some of the world’s best & most influential nightclubs & dance music festivals, Dave’s head & music collection is always brimming with great tunes, the latest sounds & cool, fresh ideas.

-----Loose Cannon (CAN)-----

King of the underground rave scene in Canberra, Luke's sets are always a journey, moving from techno to trance, acid to hard dance. Bringing his message of peace and love through music and dancing, Luke has played in clubs and at festivals accross Australia.

Unmatched in enthusium and charisma, Luke will have you moving and grooving on the dancefloor until the sun comes up.

-----B-Tham (CAN)-----

A master of house, techno and all things in between. His top secret record box is packed with a variety of club killing weapons of mass destruction including driving techno, house, electro, progressive and Jazz influences, each even more deadly than the next.

Host of 4Sound radio on Raw FM, B-Tham is a DJ with his finger on the pulse.

-----Choc St Clair (CAN)-----

Choc St. Clair has enjoyed early success with his breaks productions with his breakthrough production "Blast Off" reaching 15 on the Beatport breaks chart and a best track nomination at Breakspoll 2012. Despite this early success in the breakbeat arena, he has decided to shift his focus back to Techno which was his first love in electronic dance music.

Choc St. Clair’s own music is designed for the early hour moments where a combination of both soulful and aggressive beats carry listeners along a highway of adrenaline while his DJ Sets consist of a well structured balance between his own productions and those of others.

-----Kazuki (CAN)-----

Kazuki’s music is infused with a unique sense of electronic groove sometimes evoking the deep, glitchy sounds of the Australian Bush Doof, the tribal drums of European Techno Warehouse parties or the funk and groove of a Chicago House Loft in the city.

Kazuki has played live at a variety of parties from pounding, dingy dubstep and techno clubs, flashy disco cocktail bars, underground raves and outdoors in the bush.

Recently Kazuki has become a regular of the Canberra doof scene with his blend of acid techno, progressive psy and tribal house becoming a fast favourite at doofs around the region.
