Yeah thats sweet but if you're going to be pushing for UCL places regularly, you can't expect to consistently get there with a manager like Redknapp. He got them to the Champions League but he also blew it this season. Guess his recklessness works both for and against him.

this is the first time a team has ever finished in the top 4 and not made the champions league so it's a bit harsh to say it's all his fault. he finished in the top 4, the rest was out of his hands.

It's pretty much Liverpool's fault - they caused that rule to be implemented

It's not all his fault. He did play a large part though. They had a good advantage and blew it. Shouldn't have even been in that situation.

Either way, my point is that he isn't the whole reason Spurs are pushing for top 4. They weren't too far off a couple of times before him anyway.

Absolute bollocks, that's what he tells people with his 2 points from 8 games line but it's absolutely not true. Fair play we weren't doing well under Ramos (finished 11th the year before Harry took over) but the two previous years under MJ we had consequetive finishes at 5th place with a much worse team. Ramos had lost the dressing room but anyone taking over from him would have done just as well as Harry did that year.

We had 3rd place sown up and as soon as the England job came up he decided he didn't give a fuck, in fact didn't even leave his seat during games. Added to the fact that the **** can't rotate and ostracises all our squad players (Pienaar, Corluka etc) we end up with a bunch of players absolutely on their bootstraps by the end of every season. We then have a must win game against Villa, Arsenal having fucked things up themselves, and drawing 1-1, desperate for the win he brings on noted goalscorer Scott Parker. Lunacy.

That's only a small subset of the issues under his management but essentially what I'm saying is we've played well for the last couple of years in spite of Harry, not because of him.

This could very well be an absolute disaster for us. We may bounce back but if we lose a bunch of players and fail to sign any of our targets we will be in serious trouble. He doesn't bear all the blame but he's a huge component of it.

Yeah but the point is, forgetting the England fuckup and massive lost lead for a second, by the time of the Villa game we knew this was a possibility and a win was required. He completely ballsed that one up by bringing on a defensive midfielder when we desperately needed a goal. That alone deserves a sacking for gross incompetence

This is true and it's a shit rule really but it hasn't changed overnight, we knew it was a possibility from the start of the season so we can't complain about the rule IMO. We've got no-one to blame but ourselves on this one.

The rule isn't bad. 4 teams from one country is more than enough in the CL. There's no point having a CL if you're just going to have 15 teams from England, Spain and Italy alone.
