Hi guys,

I am currently considering the following 3 setups.

- Traktor S4 looks a little toy like and platic I think, but the ease of use with Traktor is a big plus.

- Xone: DX has the usual outstanding A&H build quality and a better soundcard over the S4 but I would need to manually map MIDI which is not a big deal.

- Xone 42 with the Audio 6 would allow me to add to the setup easily in the future and I assume the Xone 42 would have superior sound quality.

I intend on using Traktor with all these setups.

well you wouldnt want to take the xone42 out to gigs with you....

quite a few big names use the s4 so i think quality isnt an issue with it, plus you kow it works well with traktor

however i'd lean towards the xone dx for sound/build quality

but if i wanted a 4ch controller id go for;

i currently use a faderfox DX3 for navigation, effects and looping and its amazing to use and compact

It's also over $2,800, I'd love one but that price is just stupid.

I could buy a Xone 92 and a couple of midi controllers and a sound card for less.

Any more opinions?

I already use Ableton but don't really like it, something doesn't feel right with it for DJ use.

Ive got one and they are built to last, they are pretty high quality for a controller.
