StarForge - It's minecraft for the less disperging
I've watched my brother play minecraft and asked "what's the point?"

I've seen plenty of youtube videos of people building crazy shit like scale models of the USS Enterprise and thought "Hey that's cool, but what's the point?"

I get the whole "building cool shit" thing, but I had Lego growing up and that shit still wins hands down.

But this looks like it might even be something I'd actually play (if I had shitloads of time to waste)

I think in terms of online gaming, if they get the whole survival thing down right, could be shitloads of fun!

Looks like you might get a set amount of time & resources to bolster your defences/fort before waves of aliens come attacking. I dunno, there's been plenty of games in the past like that placing turrets etc. but have there ever been games where you can build walls and shit however you like?

Actually, it kinda sounds like tower defence 3D.

What I want is reverse diablo III - where I can be a demon of Hell, and build my defences, and then have online peoples from around the world come in and attempt to invade.

That's actually a pretty cool idea, but if you're defeated, the victor becomes Diablo and you're reverted back to a (dead) plebian.
