Bit out of the loop. Im looking for local Dj's/nights in Melbourne playing deep funky tech house in the style of those listed in the title and My favourite Robot, Thugfucker or anything really on hot creations or visionquest labels.

Any suggestions?

Any good podcasts relating to this style would be mint too.

that sound is pretty prevalent at 161 at the Fluidlife parties (although not strictly that sound)

you'll even hear that at Darkbeat parties.

Strictly tech house!

Electronic Groove podcasts are pretty good, but more varied "house" than just the tech stuff you described...recent one was Henry Saiz, but back catalogue on iTunes as gems from Umek (slamming tech!), Pan Pot, Silicone Soul, Slam, Ricky Ryan, Robert Babicz, Stimming, Omid 16B and Crazy P...deep/tech/house/prog, all great sets! And that was just picking and choosing from the names I knew, haven't checked the ones I didn't but would assume them to be pretty decent.
