Junkyard Sessions & Mosca team up June 9 over two rooms of Coniston Lane.
BACK BAR - Junkyard Sessions: Junkyard crew, Kosha D, Budh and new addition de la Haye, present an eclectic night of beats with a focus on local DJs/artists. Expect all sorts of hiphop, the deeper side of dubstep, to jungle, liquid, and rolling drum'n'bass from DJs Walrii (Dank Morass), Dr Dom, Munkybar + Kane (DubThugs), Duos b2b D-Ron (Praxis), Kosha D + De la Haye. Set in the cosy back area of Coniston Lane, decked out with comfy couches, pool tables and a retractable roof, this venue and Junkyard Sessions aim to bring the important things back to the Brisbane club scene and your night out - decent sound, relaxed dresscode, friendly staff and good vibes! MAIN ROOM: Mosca presents MARK RAE (Rae + Christian - UK) Mark Rae (Rae + Christian) , one of the UK's masters of souled out hip hop and deep funk returns to Brisbane for one highly-anticipated show. Through his work with Rae and Christian under the Grand Central hat in the 90s to his more recent ragga afro funk explorations with Yes King, Mark Rae has proved an impeccable producer, collaborating with the likes of Mr Scruff (Ninja Tune), Jungle Brothers, Pharcyde, The Congos and Bobby Womack. And the man puts together a mean DJ set too. He joins the rather amazing Noodles and Noel Boogie, heading up from Garlic farming and southern climes for a rare back-to-back set that's always more tasteful than anything you can even imagine creating. Locals include Danny Cool, the inimitable Kieron C, and Paprika spinning for the first time in a while.
