Fuuuuuuuuuuuuck. Memories of the emotional rollercoaster that was last years race are flooding back watching this documentary. Epic sruff from Cadel to do what he did with everything seemingly against him at times. Can;t wait to witness this years and the amazing feats of endurance that will unfold.

Interesting article about Matt Keenan (spelling?) in the official Tour Guide. I didn't realise he actually does the early stage commentary for the entire english language broadcast not just Aus.

No way! Keenan is great and has got a lot better since a few years ago. Does a fantastic lead in for the two old chaps.

Working with as many pommies as I have for the last 5 years makes comments like that just roll off the tongue it is abysmal though, and I can't think if a Frenchmen was in the yellow it would have been organised.

Keenan was actually quite interesting, but I still hate his voice.

Can someone explain to me why a fair number of riders have tape over their nose?

Yay i just hope everyone struggles to beat the Boasson Hagen time.

Bupa challenge, do a 127km stage of the TdU in Adelaide during the TdU. Google it, its on 25th Jan this year I think

Not sure if I'll make it to Cadel, long day buying travel supplies, packing, stressing... I will be back in civilisation for the last 2 stages I think.

I'm nursing a broken wrist (post op for pins/plates) which happened mountain biking and this is making me miss riding a fair bit. Even just the commute to work.

Cancellara is such a machine. What a shame Martin had to change bikes, he's the only one that could have beat him.

tony martin wold not have beaten cancellara's time.

interesting........some riders are out of form. sanchez, leipheimer and valverde looked pretty bad. strong rides by menchov and nibali.

chavanel is a beast........so much heart, always rides with heart.

I found it really hard knowing where they were on the course because they never stayed with a rider for their whole race. We weren't with Tony Martin when the bike issue happened and only really saw after the fact (i think). Why can't they just split the screen and show the full time trial ride of some of the riders?

Bah! 69 points!

It's tough to get ideal coverage as the course is so short. Much easier with 40-50km TTs.

I think they were on an ad break when Martin lost his bike.

It reminds me of slalom or GS meets... the pace was so frenetic you never really knew what was going on.

Fell asleep but woke up just as Wiggins hit the road so got the watch the last few. Cancellera flew around that course!

Was worried none of my team would win but got 1-2 in the end and 6th with Lancaster . Cadel also got me some points.

Went for a solo 90km ride today up around Akuna Bay.... could have sworn it was Alpe d'Huez though and I was the lone survivor of a breakaway....

I was definitely gonna take the yellow but then I ran over some wallaby road kill and thought to myself "wtf? there are no wallabies in the french alps" and that was when I realised I was in fact, going really f#cking slow up a small hill out the back of Sydney

I dont know how I'm going to stay awake. Just got a phone call from work an hour ago telling me I need to pick something up from a supplier on my way in tomorrow which means I get a 2hr sleep in so that should help tomorrow.

Looking forward to watching the Peloton for the first time this year, its an almost magical sight watching them ridhe through the streets and across the country side.
