^ this is what concerns me. Excess rain is just as bad as not enough rain (from an agricultural perspective, anyway). All that rain that's gonna happen up north will eventually be diverted from the temperate wheat belt of the SE (SW wheat belt is already experiencing a reduction in rainfall)

The "doomsayers" such as they are have never claimed it will not rain again. They have indicated that rain patterns will change in the long term, thereby fucking up our current agricultural set-up. This is evident in the recent rainfalls following an extended drought.... Worst drought ever followed by the two wettest years ever. Sounds like something is brewing to me

brewing is getting consistently better. A few years ago no one had ever heard of coffee stouts, black IPAs or russian imperial barley wines.
