The Bamboos' new joint "Medicine Man"
Are we feeling it? It's quite a departure for them in the sense that's there quite a bit of rock layered over the top of the deep funk foundations for which they've always been justly famous (and obviously a wider range of guest vocalists than they've used on any one of their previous albums).

It took a couple of listens for it to grow on me, but growing it is - I still don't think it is quite as good as "4", but if it exposes them to a wider audience, I'm all for that.
But we're fools if we sit back and stare at the ground
While the weasels and analysts sing
If we want our place in history, we can't let the frustration
Drive us to fashionable drinking again

Man... I added this to an order on the strength recently, and I have to say:

NOT.FEELING.IT.AT.ALL.

As in: I'm thinking of creative ways to dispose of this double album.
