Hey guys, I need some help finding some locations for a project.

Obviously Sydney area. Looking for something woodlandish or a field with long long grass.
We have a car and I'm hoping not to drive more than 1 1/2 hours one way.

Any help would be mightily appreciated.

This is going to sound silly, but Bicentential Park in Homebush. Lots of Mangrove areas around there. That's woodlandish.

Lane Cove is also quite good for Woodlands.

Also worth a try is Centennial Park near Randwick, the Alison Road side especially. There's a section with some good long grass / woody areas - see below pic for an example:
