Software to create mix - not live but preset, like Mixmeister
Hi guys, i have been out of the mixing game for a few years and would like to get back into it again, albeit just doing some mixes on my PC. I used to use mixmeister for preset mixes, but was wondering if anything else out these was better?

Requirements are that i do not want to do live mixing, but basically manually set up each tune, auto beat match, effects, etc and then be able to save the mix. Pretty much what mixmeister does (again, not sure if there is some better software out there now for this sort of thing).

Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

Ableton seems to be the go to program, can be a bit time consuming having to warp each track though.

tbh i think for just doing mixes at home easily mixmeister is the best. i use that, ableton & traktor and find for doing quick simple mixes its the best option unless i want to record live

Yeah I think it costs three to four times as much as Traktor though these days. It's a little ridiculous.

"Virtual DJ Home" is a free download.

Not that it permits preset mixes though (that I know of), that is, one must still cue up tracks and trigger them in real-time... or perhaps it will allow pre-programming???

Traktor doesn't do pre-programming either, does it? Thought that was all live cue mixing
Pete Gordon - Deep and Low

Slower tempo but still with balls, deephouse, slow-mo, futurehouse, nudeep, indie, nudisco, hints of progressive, whatever the fuck you want to call it, just good shit! Get on it

Exactly my setup, and exactly what i do as well

Been using ableton for years and I still find mixmeister the easiest to throw together a quick mix.

I find I use it as a scratch pad for DJ sets these days as its that quick to throw a bunch of tracks in there and see how they will fit / keys etc..

Have been wondering the same thing actually.

Always used MixMeister but find that some tracks go out of sync a bit.
Lots of things could be fixed up but there hasn't been an update in years

Traktor doesn't do pre-programmed mixes.

Was wanting to use Live but got a bit lost. - Is there a bass - mid - treble fader like in MixMeisyer or do u just use EQ fades?

3 band EQ effect...add to the sound/channel, assign dials to something midi if you wish, otherwise mouse them
