How often do you listen to your own mixes
Do you listen back to you old mixes all that often? I tend to think I listen to them too frequently...with the amount of free access there is to DJ mixes out there, I find myself just wanting to listen to my (goods) mixes fairly often...always have 3 or 4 various ones on my phone.
Pete Gordon - Deep and Low

Slower tempo but still with balls, deephouse, slow-mo, futurehouse, nudeep, indie, nudisco, hints of progressive, whatever the fuck you want to call it, just good shit! Get on it

Don't see the issue. You're listening to music you enjoy, that you've curated.

Appreciate listening to other people's mixes encourages the exploration of new tunes, but who want's to listen to 18 tracks strung together only to find a single gem?

Nah man, don't stress about listening to your own mixes "too much": if you've got other avenues of discovery than I'd be all for it (especially if it helps you with your programming).

listening to your own stuff is a way to pick out mistakes and improve yourself i'd say

I've got several mixes of mine in my walkman alongside mixes from other folks and listen to them all with similar frequency.

For mixes it's simply a case of having a whole bunch of tunes you really dig and have them flowing on a vibe ... Whether I laid it down or someone else did is not important.

I sometimes put down mixes that are for my ears only, just to have that vibe and selection on a certain tip.

I love listening to mine while cooking; the more techy ones get a good listen while running as well. I love it; you know the you will like the tunes, and almost all are for my own ears.

Latest mix: strickly downtempo affair.

I must say I listen to my own most days, the whole reason I started djing was so I could make my own mixtapes. Playing to crowds is just a bonus these days.

Though I do have music going from the moment I get up until I go to bed so I need a lot of material.
