R.I.P Tim.E
If you were out and about in Brisbane, at the turn of the new Century and into the noughties...chances are extremely high you were photographed by Tim.E...

It's with a very heavy heart that I let you know that Tim has passed away.

Please take a moment to reflect on his massive contribution to ITM, in its early days and to give thanks to one of the kindest, gentlest, most generous souls you were ever likely to meet.

R.I.P Mate XxX

Very sorry to hear. Tim contributed a lot to ITM. Music and gadget reviews, here on the forums, out and about, on the old ITM chat. Always a friendly guy.

Just heard the news through another mate. Tim and I flatted together briefly around a decade ago, and he was a top bloke. I'm still trying to digest the news, gone way too young. R.I.P. mate.

We didn't always see eye to eye (and I suspect he loved being a rabble rouser) but he was a big part of the Brisbane scene during my formative years and a huge influence on ITM in Brisbane. Rest in Peace, Tim.

Yeah the same Tim. I've heard an initial report from a friend last night re cause of death but details are still a little sketchy at the moment so in deference to those closest to him I'd rather not post anything unless it's 100% accurate.

This is really sad news. He was our most prolific forum poster back in the day. I remember when the Brisbane forum was one post away from eclipsing Melbourne he had the special honour of that post. When I used to live in Taringa he would sometimes pop over and practice on the 1200's when we had them set-up. And he used to take mad photos. I hadn't seen him in recent years but hoped he was doing well.
RIP mate.

That's ok, Space monkey. I totally understand.

Man, I'm shocked. Had some good conversions with him back in the day

I hope his family are ok. I mean, as much as they can be.

Favourite memory is sitting on the steps up to some club at riverside, New Years Day 01/02 eating an entire pound cake because we were starving and the doorbitches wouldn't let us in with a cake (A bag of pills, no problem but no orange pound cake! ). So we sat on the steps in front of them and ate the whole thing. That was the day I met Tim IRL. My first New Years back in Brisbane after moving from Sydney, and he arranged the whole day. Another favourite is answering a knock at my front door approx midnight one evening and being urged to come to the Roxy to check out Buzz Fuzz... I was so tired and in my PJs but Tim was having none of my protests and picked me up over his shoulder, carried me out and I partied in my PJs that night, no one said a thing. I hope that everyone, at some time in in their life, has a friend like Tim. Genuine (You could always count on Tim to set you straight), kind and always has your back, no matter what anyone else thinks. Bless Him X

I've just confirmed with a friend who was closer to Tim that the official cause of death was a heart attack. Sharing this here because I know you're all genuinely concerned and I'd hate there to be speculation. Far too young

Wow, that's pretty sad.

I don't believe I ever met the guy, but he certainly was prolific on these forums back in the day. My condolences to his family and friends.

He certainly was. He could be an abrasive shit-stirrer at times (especially under his Mr Xanax alias) but IRL he was one of the nicest, gentlest, friendliest guys you could meet.

It's a real shame that the ITM photo archives have been taken down - there was some great Brisbane clubbing history courtesy of Tim-E's photography in there.

I saw the news yesterday and I am still trying to get my head around it. It is incredibly sad and my thoughts are with his family and his closest friends.

There are some people who come into and out of your life, whether for a brief period or a long time that you will always have a soft spot for and remember fondly, and his gentle nature made him one of these.

When we caught up in Brissie late last year and it was inspirational to see the changes he had made in his life and his dedication to helping people struggling with their own demons. He was highly intelligent, with a mind that never stopped, a quick smile and a friendly, gentle soul. It was as easy to sit down and talk sh*t over a cuppa last year as it was over many a night on the door years ago. Hopefully now he has found the peace he was looking for.

RIP Tim xxxxxx
