Suggest me a scratch mixer.
Hi all, I would like an affordable scratch mixer to learn/practice with. The fader on my xone 62 doesn't really cut it. Looking to spend as little as possible and don't mind buying second hand. Basically just for a bit of fun, to try something new.
Post what you have or what you think are good budget options. Thanks.

Rather than replacing the entire mixer, just replace the crossfader.

Innofader is compatible from memory.

^ it's the x-fader curve which sucks for scratching on the Xone 62's...wouldn't any fader you put in still operate on the same curve that is set in the mixer? Only one have straight through and dip options to change the curve, no adjust dial to make it a super sharp curve like you need.

Slower tempo but still with balls, deephouse, slow-mo, futurehouse, nudeep, indie, nudisco, hints of progressive, whatever the fuck you want to call it, just good shit! Get on it

If you're on a budget there's loads of good reviews out for the Thud Rumble scratch mixer. It's got an innofader as standard..

A mate of mine put an inno in an Xone42 which was really bad in terms of cut when you just used the xfader dial on the mixer. I ended up just tweaking the settings on the innofader a bit and we were able to get it to cut a lot nicer, forget what I did exactly as I was a little inebriated at the time, but you just play around with the two dials till she cuts nicely.

Further investigating found that a particular IC had to be shorted out to make the dials on the mixer work, I didn't want to do it without a backup board in case we fucked it completely. Not sure if it applies in the case of 62's, but yeah...
