Abletonalogue
After some help please with setting up some analogue equipment to run through ableton.

Over the course of the last 6 months I've been interstate and what not so have had plenty of time to browse ebay.
I'm now a proud owner of a tb-303, tr-606, tr-707, jupiter 6 with europa mod, sh-101.

I've never been good with setting up machines so I'm not going to pretend I am, nor am I that interested in that aspect to be honest, I just enjoy playing with them.

So how can I set them all up to work in sync with ableton if ya get what I mean? In other words, If I hit play in ableton, the 303 will be running at the same speed ableton and the 101, jupiter etc.

I want to be able to edit/tweak everything in the ableton sequencer, and then add fx. It will mainly be for creating soundscapes for my shroom journeys. Will record it all, for further tweaking after that.

Thankyouthankyouthankyou.

Options -> preferences -> midi sync, select your midi interface and turn on "track" and "sync" for midi out and "track" for midi in so you can send notes from your juputer and sh101 keyboard back to ableton. When you're in session view click the little "I-O" button on the right side of the tracks to open input/output section and then select your midi interface and channel under midi to and you'll be ready to start recording

I keep being told I need to get a midi to cv convertor like the kenton pro 2000 mkii.
However when I emailed Kenton, they said I need one unit per machine, which doesn't sound right.

Can anyone help with this please?

Yeah your sh101 and tb303 will need a midi to cv converter. Either that or you can look up if there are any midi conversion kits for those synths.
