Also, Ezio.

i've finished all AC games besides AC1 which i didnt have.

loved every one of them.

I chose AC3 as my favourite though because of the addition of the Naval Missions which just added so much more to the game.

Also i did like hunting etc.

2 was the only one I ever finished. The others + 'expansions' are absolutely rubbish.

since we're turning this into a nostalgia thread, i would also like to mention CoD:WaW, as the only one i ever really enjoyed in the series, and the first one i think that introduced the now ubiquitous zombie mode

Yep it was awesome. It was also the last one that had a good solid lengthy single player component imo

NHL series is always underrated. Ea adding the grappling and punching engine from the next mma game into the nhl 14 was the best idea ever.

Wipeout I still love to death.

I have put more hours into madden then any other game/game series.

I dont even remember the SP for WAW tbh.

Crysis 2 & 3 SP are decent
GOW is as well (though thats third person)
I also thoroughly enjoyed Halo 3 ODST SP campaign. alot more gritty and difficult than other halos.

I really enjoyed it. Not as much as some people here, but it's a great game.

Best bit for me was turning on the jukebox in the cafe and having it play Coconut. I played through the game twice. Haven't completed the sequel yet.

Oh, forgot about Alan Wake, and I even got every cheevo on it (cept DLC).

Fuck that game on nightmare difficulty, that's the main thing I remember. Many expletives were yelled in the finishing.

Having said that, it was a... highlight.

*Open door and take three steps back with gun aimed in case something is there.*

*Door closes because you're too far away*

*Open door again and build up the courage to go through*

*Get jumped by necromorph*

Number 1 was tremendous, number 2 I just found too hectic too often, was more of an all out shooter and lost a lot of the creepy suspense of the first.

Yeah, such a shame. DS3 went even more in the shooter direction sadly. Though apparently there was DLC for DS3 which was very much like DS1, though I haven't tried it yet.

Again, almost made the list!

No other game has made me squeal like a little girl so much. I'm lucky I played with my sister watching because her level head saved me multiple times when I lost my shit and just ran around a room like a headless chook after multiple necromorphs busted in.

The sound design was next level; playing it in surround was just incredible. Riding a random elevator somewhere and *just* out of earshot you can make out a female voice singing "twinkle twinkle little star".

the bit in Dead Space 1 that killed me was (spoilers for a 5 year old game):

Spoiler:
how the upgrade bench thing was always a "safe spot". they were always put in empty rooms and they were a break from the constant fear and anxiety. until one of the very last ones where as soon as you step away from the bench you get jumped by a necromorph.

for me, that moment is up there with X-Com Ironman and Trials on the "hateloving a game developer for what they are putting you through" list

There's a couple of DLCs and American Nightmare, a spinoff which heads more into shooter territory than survival horror, but there's been no actual sequel. It's doubtful there ever will be one tbh.
