Speaking of which, I have the bad, unmotivating pain around my coccyx from gym yesterday. It's not debilitating so I'm guessing it's nothing too sinister but it's not the best feeling.

I didn't. I posted it once originally and then it auto-refreshed on my phone. So I refreshed to see if I did in fact make a double post, which I didn't.

Now there's a second post though. 10:10pm there is 11:10am here, and I was definitely not on ITM. This should tell you how broken ITM is right now

well she'll be hot when she turns 18

also stuck here in Nepal, half our group were on that Turkish plane that crashed, they are ok but they got no luggage yet, so no hiking gear, so we have to wait a while. Also the news reported wrong, one side of the wheels did t come down, also no one told the passengers to brace, but lucky no one died . Just got the risky flight to Lukla, then I will relax a bit ....

Hmm, did this Monday and it's still sore. Skipped my leg hypertrophy day yesterday in hopes that I'd be right today. It's not preventing me from doing anything, but it hurts in certain movements, like rotating my hip at the base of the spine.
Relaxing all weekend, hopefully it's right by Monday.

Pretty disappointed, basically because of too much loading on heavy squats and deadlifts on the same day. Stupid trainer.

If it's bruising on the bone, that can take a lot more than 4-5 days to heal up.

That's the thing, I can't figure out what it is. Bruising to the bone would be from impact wouldn't it, not a movement injury? It's in a really awkward spot as well so I'm not sure a physio could help, I can't actually pinpoint the injury.

So yeah the lower back/hip soreness is still there a week and a half later. One day it feels better the next it's sore again. Still not stopping me from any every day use.

Just had a go on it with the spike ball and it's really sore around the hip bone and joints, so I'm thinking I've strained my whole hip, worse on the left side.

I'll give it another week and hit more rolling but if it's still bad, back to the old physio.

Ditching the trainer too, only injured myself because I was over training on his stupid program. Back to 5/3/1 when I'm better again.

Yep, then about a million people messaged me to tell me to watch it

I was pretty disappointed, but I generally am with most pieces on the pharma industry. Not because what they say isn't true, it almost always is but because they fail to point out the good, quite necessary side of healthcare as well. In particular with him as he's supposed to be more balanced. Then again, Jon Stewart isn't exactly dead centre either, far from it.

ed- Oh yea, I remembered the biggest gripe. It's extremely US centric. Most of what he covered does not apply to Australia, EU etc and hasn't for a long time. Direct marketing of prescription medicines to patients is absolutely ridiculous and should have been stopped years ago.

I don't know how it is in the US but in Aus and the UK, it's only a free lunch when you're catering for healthcare professionals, not every day. If I have a lunch meeting here, I can include myself as an extra head in the 10/head restriction. From memory, in Sydney it was about $15. If I'm not catering for a clinical meeting or something similar, then no dice.

The SINGLE biggest perk of not just pharma but sales in general is flexibility. The ability to generally plan where you are and who you're seeing at any given time. It is easily the biggest benefit of sales. Parents with younger children in particular, love it.

It's also one of the biggest barriers of entry too as people don't realise how stressful it is planning virtually everything in your working day, as opposed to being directed. Many people think they can do it but most can't. I firmly believe most people can sell and sell well, but planning and virtually total autonomous working is incredibly stressful.
Looks familiar but I'll give it a read tomorrow.

Do any of you lot use The Iconic to buy stuff? My girlfriend is selling a $250 voucher for $150. It needs to be used by 30th June. She has checked terms and conditions and is allowed to pass it on to someone else. This is for use in their online store: http://www.theiconic.com.au Full T&C's here: http://www.theiconic.com.au/terms-of-use/#vouchers

Rich parents. Also probably because the cost of living in Indo is about 1/10th here, so he can live for 10 weeks there on 1 week of Aussie wages.

Fair enuff. My problem is the cost of living in Australia doesn't go away when I'm on holiday, still gotta pay the rent at home, fuck it. Should probably stop living by myself and paying $350pw in rent.

Can get two bedders a bit further from the CBD but still in decent areas for 400-450pw so that's 125-150 less on rent, plus Internet and utility bills would be nearly halved. Potentially 500-700/month, adds up pretty quick.

Id prefer someone I just got along with,
A bit of company at home would actually be nice sometimes too.
I kind of ended up in my current place by a bit of an accident, a mate owns it and had to move to Canberra for work. I'm actually getting a great deal on it as its really central but I don't need to be this close to the city. I'd rented a 2 bedder previously and was gonna get someone else in but it turned out the landlord was being a prick about maintenance (wouldn't fix basic shit that was minimum standard to be acceptable to live in) so I got the lease ended and was looking for another place when this one came up.

I don't think I could handle living in a shared place anymore; I quite like my own space and way too curmudgeonly to accept others' foibles probably

It's not saving the $3K that's hard, it's the lost income when I'm away that kills me. Kinda limits holidays to a week at a time. Would love to go away for months at a time but that would involve moving out of my place, quitting job etc, and would need more than $3K for that.

Yup. One of the main reasons I want to get out of diving this year, 90% of jobs are contract/casual, I'm actually doing pretty well to have been pretty constantly employed by one company for the last 2+ years. Would happy take a 15%-20% cut in hourly rate for a permanent job rigging or steel fixing.
