I think thats the 9th or 10th Time i've seen Layo and Bushwacka. And for those who are suprised by the set they played I can honestly say that is a very typical set from them. They tend to keep things pretty one directionly tech-house with a few steps left and right field every now and again. I have seen them play more diverse sets, albeit early at a festival or the like, but their productions are much different to their DJ sets. They did a job and did it well IMO. They made a crowd have fun. You are never going to please every person in the room, but if you can get the dancefloor having fun at the expense of some trainspotting chin sroker in the corner. No real loss. A football players priority is to make the pass, score the goal before the flashy not seen before move, although both is nice, you always get someone acusing him of being a flashy tool. As someone has said already, he had a post festival crowd (almost an afterparty type feel), they did what was right for the situation. Was good upstairs with co-op/MT boys. Considering parklife is (and was this Sunday as well) the festival with the most annoying kids, it was a really good crowd. Liked the venue and glad to hear it isn't normally that hot. My only complaint was that not once was i given the price of a drink. I asked for 2 pure blondes from the uptairs bar and was quoted about $20. I said it wasn't that much and she got shitty with me. She had the cheek to bark at me "you can't expect me to know the price of every drink?". I certainly expect you to roughly know how much the price of probably the most ordered beer was.
