Jaytech locks in new album for 2014

This Christmas, local gun Jaytech has hit us with some very good news: the homegrown prodigy has announced he’s got a brand new album coming our way. It hasn’t taken him long, either: off the back of last year’s much-loved LP Multiverse, the now Berlin-based star has confirmed he’s got something new in the works, due for arrival in the winter of 2014.

And the new record’s certainly sounding ambitious: “My next artist album is going to be a space opera in an electro-progressive style, taking all of my melodic and dancefloor elements of the past and fusing them with a new wave of modern sounds, to paint a picture of the bright future I believe we are all destined for,” Jaytech said of the forthcoming LP. “Embracing technology and keeping a positive frame of mind have always been two core values of mine, and they will be coming together to tell the story on this next project. I’m very excited!”

Before the album drops, you can catch Jaytech on a string of dates around the country this holiday season. The Anjunadeep favourite is bringing in the New Year at Brisbane’s Electric Playground, before popping over to Perth on January 11 and hitting his hometown of Canberra on January 17 (Sydney had their turn last week). Take in the full list of dates below.
