When embarrassing things happen to an organisation like the American Family Association, you can’t help but chuckle. The group defines itself as “a Christian organisation promoting the biblical ethic of decency in American society with primary emphasis on TV and other media”.

Their website has a filter that automatically turns the word ‘gay’ into ‘homosexual’, which is fine most of the time, unless you’re American sprinter Tyson Gay. Or should we say, Tyson Homosexual. The association’s OneNewsNow Christian news site recently ran an article on the sprinter and with auto-corrections it said things like:

Tyson Homosexual was a blur in blue, sprinting 100 meters faster than anyone ever has… “It means a lot to me,” the 25-year-old Homosexual said. “I’m glad my body could do it, because now I know I have it in me.”
