Wanna be on top? Jodhi Meares doesn’t want to any more, with news that she made the decision to quit as the host of Foxtel’s Australia’s Next Top Model.
It comes after an embarrassing end to her hosting duties on the show this year when Meares decided to not record the finale in front of a live studio audience. That role was taken up by Charlotte Dawson, who is hotly tipped to take centre stage as the new host.
“I understand and accept her decision to leave Australia’s Next Top Model,” said Foxtel boss Brian Walsh to Sydney’s Daily Telegraph, “but I am pleased to say that we have agreed to explore other television projects in the future.”
Meares is the second host of the local version of Next Top Model, after original host Erika Heynatz. Both hosts have left the show amid controversies, after Heynatz signed on to be a contestant on Seven’s It Takes Two whilst still under contract with Foxtel.
The fifth season of Australia’s Next Top Model begins filming next month.
