Another week, another batch of seriously shit hot jobs as part of the 2009 V Raw internship program. If you haven’t heard, V Raw gives you the chance to get your foot in the door at some of Australia’s most revered and creative organisations, in areas like design, film, music, media, PR, fashion and more.

Company: The People’s Republic of Animation
Position: Junior Artist

Paid or Unpaid: Unpaid
Length of contract: 1 month
Start date – end date: TBC (flexible)
Requirements & Preferred experience: Tertiary level study in some form of visual arts and passion for film or animation in general.
Skills & Competencies: Any one or a combination of Adobe Photoshop skills, Illustrative or Concept Art skills, 3D skills (preferably in Maya), Adobe After Effects compositing and vfx skills, 2D or 3D animation skills and mad ‘Street Fighter’ skills.

Company: Frost Design
Position: Intern – graphic designer, multi media designer or 3D designer

Paid or Unpaid: Paid, payment amount depending on course year of student.
Length of contract if freelancing: 1 month +
Start date – end date: August/Sept 09
Job Description: Develop creative design solutions for corporate identity, 3D design, print design and/or interactive design (depending on applicant). Develop designs and produce electronic finished artwork under supervision. Produce specifications for production, on press supervision and liaison with suppliers under supervision. Develop computer skills, typography skills and 3-dimensional signage skills. Provide general assistance to other team members. Efficiently manage time to meet project budgets, as determined by project and traffic manager/s. Maintain electronic filing of work. Attend WIP and Production Meetings on a weekly basis. MAC savvy. Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign and basic MS Office knowledge. Interactive – CS. Demonstrate an understanding of Dream Weaver and Flash. An understanding of website code through HTML and CSS would be advantageous. No travel requirements. Working hours 9am-6pm (1hr for lunch in the park), hours may extend beyond base working hours to meet deadlines.
