So, is Modular like the coolest label on the planet or what? Maybe, but regardless of your opinion of the music they release you can’t deny that the opportunity to work in their office wouldn’t be the chance of a lifetime if you’re keen to make a career in the music biz. If you’d like to be their ‘office legend’ for a an undetermined amount of time (if you’re really good maybe they’ll let you stay?) then get your application in for this week’s V Raw position. You know the drill, head here for all the dets!

Position: Modular Office Legend
Location: Surry Hills, Sydney
Paid or Unpaid: Unpaid (but cool stuff will ‘come your way’ and you can’t put a price on that.)
Length of internship: To be confirmed with intern
Start date – end date: To be confirmed with intern
You should have: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. A computing device. Laptops and/or Nintendo 64s are a plus. Standard Office suite. Excel and Word. The ability to locate boutique ice cream stores within close proximity of the offices. A firm believer an advocate of afternoon drinks. Killer hair. An acquired musical palette a bonus meaning you can do a couple of rounds with the A&R kids and still be standing at the end of it.
Your role would involve: Working closely with Modular’s existing staff. Smelling like team spirit. Guessing surrounding office’s WiFi passwords. Memorising who takes soy milks/sugar in their coffee. Memorising every lyric to every song by a Modular artist EVER. Beating the Modular agency in Street Fighter IV. Possibly rubbing shoulders with some artists on the roster.
And just for the record – Modular rolls in Surry Hills, Sydney, NSW. Still need convincing? Modular rules because our bands rule. Our strength lies in our diversity and within that our ability to turn people onto something new they might not otherwise bother with, because it has the Modular stamp of approval. From Wolfmother to The Avalanches to Cut Copy to The Bumblebeez to The Tough Alliance, there’s not really any other unifying thread other than the fact that they’re totally awesome and they share that same stamp on the back of their CD. Plus everyone working employed by Modular has to pass a painfully strict beauty guide, meaning everyone in the office is beyond hot.

Nobody has hearted this, be the first Be the first!
