Money-spinning game franchise Guitar Hero has secured the music of Jimi Hendrix for an upcoming edition of their mega-selling series. Rolling Stone reports multiple songs have been delivered to Activision developers by the Hendrix estate, including ‘Purple Haze’, ‘Foxy Lady’ and ‘Little Wing’.
“Guitar Hero really was on the ball and they were biting at the bit to get this out this year, so, we just accommodated them,” Janie Hendrix (who oversees the estate) told the magazine. “Jimi was a kid at heart — he definitely would have played these games.”
In other Hendrix ‘entertainment’ news, the man’s supposed sex-tape will continue to bring in the bucks for adult film company Vivid Entertainment. Vivid offered $100,000 to Jimi’s people if they could substantiate claims the tape was a fake, but alas, they haven’t been able to.
Probably best to go with Guitar Hero on the Christmas list though.
