Legendary alternative film-maker John Waters, who turned supersized tranny Divine into a worldwide star through classic films including Pink Flamingos and Hairspray, has come out against cosmetic surgery in an interview with the Observer. “If you have bad plastic surgery, it looks like you were brought up poor, moved to LA and didn’t make it,” the influential Baltimore based director suggested. “If it’s good, you just look like someone else,” he added.

British supermodel Kate Moss has also lambasted cosmetic breasts in an interview with New York magazine Interview in which she branded herself a ‘tit man’. “I think breast implants are awful. I’ve felt them and they are awful,” she admitted. “So many of my friends have had them, and they’ve gone wrong. I know only one girl who has good ones. And most of them are so hard you can knock on them like a door,” said Kate.

Surgically enhanced New York tranny star Amanda Lepore also came in for harsh criticism over her image in the Sunday Times’ Style section, who placed her right at the bottom of their what’s hot/what’s not column Going Up/Going Down. “‘Amanda Lepore’s Make-up Range’: Um, not quite the look we’re going for,” the Style section sneered.
