N.E.R.D. frontman Pharrell Williams has bumped out Jerry Seinfeld as the face of Microsoft in their newest ad campaign, a mere two weeks after the US sit-com star was unveiled as their spokesperson in a somewhat bizarre (and confusing?) series of commercials aimed at countering Apple’s “I’m a Mac, I’m a PC” campaign.
Pharrell is joined in the new Microsoft campaign by spiritualist author Deepak Chopra and Desperate Housewives beauty Eva Longoria. Makes perfect sense, right? Not wanting to give the impression they’d shafted Seinfeld after their new ads were met with a somewhat bewildered response from the public, Microsoft instead stated that it was always their intention to replace the ads so soon.
Here’s the original Seinfeld ad… Did you get it? We didn’t.
