After winning crowds over in packed pubs in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane for the last year, warming stages for the likes of Gonzales, Trans Am, Decoder Ring, Magic Dirt, Sekiden etc, we’re finally treated with the debut single from the guy in pink.

You have to have been living under a rock for the last month if you haven’t caught ‘Letz Dance!!!’ on Triple J during it’s few 100 spins, as well as taking over the airwaves of 2SER, FBi and 3RRR. ‘Letz Dance!!!’ is one of many crowd favourites in the Spod live experience and is the first single taken from Spod’s forthcoming debut album ‘Taste The Radness’, recorded with ‘The Raddest Producer In The World’ Jonboyrock (Decoder Ring, Hard Ons, Sealifepark etc).

Combining cheesy synth and a truckload of reverb this catchy as doggy-doo to a shoe number will have you joining in and singing along, about what else should you expect, than his favourite subject – Sexxx! The track puts across the Spod live vibe to perfection, to the point where if you close your eyes you can almost smell the smoke that fills the room, see the glitter in the air and smell the stench of beer and sweat coming from the stage as the room becomes a mess of bright lights and action and you too are consumed by the electrifying Spod magic!

Track two ‘Squidgeman’ is a cute little ditty that sounds like it’s been written for an 80s Atari game, very blippy and cute with lots of vocoder action to get with. There’s no denying the simple addictiveness of this scantily clad, glitter throwing, fake flower bearing electro-clash madman, it’s time to get with the 2131 crew and git yo fuck orn kids!
