The third in a series from Defected Records, Junior Jack & Kid Crème’s In the House mix is sure to get all you house fanatics up and dancing. Fresh from his UK smash “Make Luv” under his Room 5 alias, and current dance floor bomb “E Samba”, Junior Jack is definitely a name on every ones lips. Kid Crème is also known for “Austin’s Groove”, as well as his bomb remix of Shakedowns “At Night”. Defected have brought these legends together in a back to back mix up of what can only be described as house at its best!

Disc one is deep and soulful, containing many current and past vocal hits. Beginning with Copyrights “Late at Night” and Soulsearchers “Feeling Love”, the listener is delivered a face full of music sure to get them into the groove. As the cd progresses, the music becomes even more funky, with tracks like “Dancing in the Dark” by 4tune 500 and the massively popular “He not In”. By the end of the cd a funky and soulful feeling has been created, leaving the listener very satisfied… well this one at least!

The second disc has a far more ‘main room’ feel, with some absolute dance floor monsters mixed in with plenty of the stuff all house fans love. It is structured with more of a progressive build up, like any good DJ set really. Some tracks included on this disc are “E Samba”, “At Night”, as well as a wicked mix of “Shake It”. There is plenty of the Latino carnival vibe that is popular at the moment, with bongos, pianos, steel drums and the like scattered throughout the mix.

Although the tracks on the CD are a little dated, they are mixed with precision and each one perfectly compliments the next, which is a credit to the Junior Jack & Kid Crème. All the tracks selected are of the high Defected standard, and will leave no listener unhappy. This is one cd that doesn’t have any ego’s getting in the way of quality music, it’s about the people and listeners and giving them what they want, great funky house music! It’s a CD worth buying and one that will stand the test of time. House freaks this one is for you!
