Underworld is simply one of those names in dance music that everybody knows about, and a group that has produced an exceptional number of dance floor anthems. The most famous of these being Rez, 2 Months Off and of course their track that featured in the Trainspotting soundtrack Born Slippy. It’s classic frantic vocals and echoed out piano chords make this perhaps one of the most recognisable tracks in dance music. Over time the track has been remixed a countless number of times and to commemorate the tracks anniversary a new collection of 2003 remixes of the single have been released.

The single contains five remixes and starts off with the Ricks 2003 Radio Edit which kicks off with a beautiful honky tonk piano chord intro using the main hook. This builds up and mercilessly drops into the huge banging beat of the Nuxx Original. A similar mix went down a treat when played by Dave Seaman at the October Sweetchilli at Space night club during the encore of his set. The Paul Oakenfold Edit is a more progressive version of the track with some nice additions to the sounds of the original and an amazing breakdown which highlights the tracks elements. Atomic Hooligan Edit presents a 4×4 breaks mix with a funky bassline that smoothly breaks down into the original.

However, UK legends London Elektricity deliver the highlight remix with an excellent take on the tune resulting in a remix that is funky and different to the original yet retains enough familiarity to the original. The final mix is the Original NUXX Edit which is currently included in the 1992-2002 singles collection also out now. Overall a great single with a good variety of mixes contained within, the highlight being the London Elektricity version which really dices up this classic.
