(Abstract Inc)
The A side, Mitsubishi, featuring vocalist Aina is where it’s at on this 12”. With tight breaks in the intro, and big rave stabs that give way to Aina’s “moving in a circle that feels like a line…” vocals, it’s very peaktime stuff. A mid-tune rewind and synth switch-up keeps the energy at near-manic levels, while Aina’s vocal loops away in the background. Dancefloor at maximum boost.
The flip, Beetle Crusher, is more on the jump-up tip, and with descending horror-show synths, big sub kicks and filtered breaks it’d be bound to send those into the nu-skool sound into a frenzy. Another mid-tune switch pops up, as in Mitsubishi, showcasing an element that these guys have nailed down really well.
The A side is the money side on the release however, purely for its insane energy and well thought out structure and switches, highlighting that Abstract Inc. and TKO are ones to watch for the dancefloor sound.
