(Bass Invaderz)

With rising credibility the Bass Invaders record label has produced a heavy, hypnotic breaks single that brings together the work of two UK breaks-heads Distortions and Deep Impact. The CDR single features two tracks on a disc that looks like it was purchased from your local BIG W, but don’t be fooled it’s quality!

Rock Da House’ is one of the best breaks tracks I’ve heard this year so far. It’s hard, fast, tough, distorted and illegally bass-heavy. The introduction constitutes very raw drums and a host of spacey sounds, deeply subtle bass infected undertones bring us into the tracks body. The body of the track goes off leaving a pleasant trail of destruction. It’s very Crystal Method (back in the day). The riff is about as large and engulfing that your going to get this side of breaks, it’s epic and tough. The vocal is basic and deeply filtered, it only adds to the atmosphere of the track. The track is very Dj-friendly and gives users plenty of time to mix out.

The little brother of the single ‘Demonz’ strolls down deeper pastures. Once again the drums are notably raw and intense and have that ‘live’ feel, which I love. The vocal is wickedly suited to the track and builds us into the body masterfully. The body comprises the raw drums encrusted with an epic sounding synth line and a host of spacey, dreamy swelters running through it. Once again track is very Crystal Method. The original mini-breakdowns in crucial positions and layering of the full spoken towards the tracks outro are unusual, but greatly effective.

For those who prefer their breaks a little harder and layered with deeply engulfing melodies, I highly recommend you check out this release.
