A quality and original production that masterfully ties together the best elements of filtered house, dirty vocals, and easily digestible electro. This track will definitely do some damage. The man responsible is the next big thing, Tom Neville. Rising to the top of commercial house has been easy for Tom; from the cult house classic of last summer; “Just Fuck” to his remix of Mylo’s “Destroy Rock and Roll” house circles are rejoicing at having a producer that resonates closely with the word ‘hit’.
The Vocal Mix is superb. The tracks primary feature is the bassline. The bassline is a lush cocktail of deep rumbles and influenced by trashy 80’s electro synths . Mid-track the bassline changes to a deep groaning acid-filtered monster. Very original production, very refreshing. The top-end elements are a wicked concoction of distorted hi-hats that work great with infrequent use of subtlety distorted uplifting house chords. The vocal is dirty and underground, and is layered smoothly over the tracks elements. Even though this is the vocal mix, listeners certainly don’t suffer an overdose. The version is great for Dj’s; there’s plenty of chances to mix in the seven and half minute feast and the outro features vocal snippets and splatters making mixing out sound great.
The Instrumental Mix features prominent drums and percussion and dubbed vocals. The intro is long and has a progressive feel as each of the elements is gradually introduced. The vocal is dubbed and twisted, resonating calmly under the surface. It utilises the bassline features previously described, which dominate the track. A great complementary mix for those that prefer to play a little left of center.
A great production from Tom Neville. It has the atmosphere of “I See Girls” and dirtiness of “Just Fuck” the electro elements will make this sit well in the club and compilations.
