Hiltmeyer Inc is a 27 year old DJ/producer from Munich who comes from a family of US soldiers who decided to stay put in Germany rather than head back home to the US. He was raised by his grandmother, a waitress at Oktoberfest for 20 years, in a part of Munich where the likes of Zombie Nation, Richard Bartz and Chicks On Speed hang out and ply their trade. Sendling 70, released on the excellent label Gomma, is his debut album and, whilst it isn’t exactly mind-blowing, it definitely is a solid mish mash of cosmic-italo-disco-porn-electro-punk-funk tunes.

The first track he ever recorded (and saved), Narcotic!, is the opening track on the album, and its an superb opener with its dirty bass underpinning the disco-porn synth melodies, great for the dirty bass pout on the dancefloor! The appropriately named Pornhaus follows and is one of a couple of nu-disco styled house tracks on the album that are starting to appear elsewhere around the traps. Along with the nu-disco sound, Hiltmeyer also opts for the popular electro-house sound on the next couple of tracks, Finalahh being the standout with its bubbling synth bass sound and lots of neat little squelches, hisses and spacey sounds. Hillygirl and Rockabill close out the album, clearly demonstrating the range of styles Hiltmeyer obviously digs, and are the stand out tracks for me on the album. Fast, fuzzy, krautrock, snare-driven, cowbell invested electro-punk-funk numbers to pogo in the mosh to and generally run amok. Love it!

If you’re up for listening to something a little different with lots of variety and cool sounds and heaps of silly fun then I reckon you can’t go wrong with Hiltmeyer Inc’s debut long player Sendling 70. It’s the hottest cosmic italo disco porno soundtrack you’ve been waiting for. Do your disco thang Spitch!
