Not to be confused with latest publicity stunt by a spawn of the Hilton Empire, it’s one of the most largest and dancefloor friendly house bombs this year. Both the Original Mix and the TV Rock Mix are top shelf.
The Original Mix is a real masterpiece. It brings together all the current ‘now’ elements into an intoxicating concoction of house music that has been rocking dancefloors the world over. A catchy simple vocal works well with tough drums and a big bassline with subtle well layered electro elements early in the track. The body of the track is a flurry of sweeping synth swells, dubbed tribal sounds and a stomping bassline. The track is unrelenting, the spacey sounds and vibrating bassline make mixing the tune a pleasure.
The Grant Smillie & Ivan Gough Remix is a real teaser and builder! These 2 guys from Melbourne that produce under the guise of “TV Rock” are currently at the forefront of the house scene. The track is a dancefloor friendly selection of squelching electro basslines, flawlessly orchestrated vocals and rich percussive elements. The track begins with distorted hi-hats accompanied by the raw vocals, before too long the big electro-infused bassline makes it introduction. These elements masterfully orchestrate into the first raw vocal breakdown, which leads us into the tracks body. The body is very dancefloor friendly drawing the best from the fields of house and electro. A top quality remix.
The track currently sits at number 4 on ARIA Club Chart. James Ash (from Rouge Traders) says “It’s just a fucking weapon. They love it, I love it”. Check it out!
