A rich debut EP encompassing a variety of sounds that fits Flexuous into a clever niche covering deep house, electro, funk and lots of bounce all produced with quite a unique flair.

The New Truth EP by UK based producer Flexuous is his debut solo album. The EP contains 3 tracks. First up is New Truth. The track bounces along grounded strongly by a heavily dubbed non-cliché electro riff, the track is accompanied by a host of monotonous glitch and pop elements not unfamiliar of the minimal school. The low frequency bass infused with a subtle layer of acid top off a deep yet funky number. A flawless track that would not be out of place in house, minimal, electro or techno sets, huge crossover appeal. The attention demanded by Flexuous does cease as we move into Keep Quiet. The track explores slightly more dubbed territory. Once again the track has big crossover appeal achieved by a very Infusion style rumbling bassline, deep progressive rhythms brought from their depths by crisp raw percussion and a wicked distorted, hardly identifiable vocal.

The third and final track on the EP Your Future takes a stab at leftfield terrain. It’s a dubby electro number laced with hypnotic chords and melodic synths. Once again the track is successfully grounded in it deep bassline and rich, raw percussion. Flexuous’ debut release on Melbourne’s digital record label Infamous Light Recordings is quality. Surpassing electro, progressive and deep house is only the beginning of Flexuous’ obviously diverse talents. Check it out!
