(Hussle/EMI)
A very flash new vocal house bomb. The hype surrounding this track began at the WMC and has been a favourite on the dancefloors of Ibiza. The hype is somewhat justified as the rich all-encompassing vocal suits a wide variety of dancefloors.
The H&F 2Risque Vox begins with a lush classic house sounding vibe. This is achieved by rich uplifting house chords and strong diva highly reminiscent of early 1990’s mainstream house. Into the body of the track the rich vocal is the centrepiece, it’s accompanied by a host of predictable house percussion and standard house bass elements. The track is a standout from other vocal house tracks due to the strong diva vocal courtesy of Abigail Bailey, that covers an array of ranges and feelings. It’s a track that house Dj’s should take note of, it can work in environments from lounges to big festivals.
On the flip side the White Trash Mix boosts the intensity. The percussion elements are tougher, borrowing slightly from the tribal school of thought and the drums are more dancefloor friendly. The track is laced with epic bass blasts and stinging riffs the weave inside and around the vocal that is used less than in the H&F 2Risque Vox. Definitely a track that can fit into the new ‘Swedish House’ genre pioneered by Axwell and Sebastian Ingrosso.
Having already been picked up by Pete Tong, held strong positions on the buzz and club charts the world over and coped a flogging from Eric Morillo, the single is a must for house Dj’s that play on the vocal tip.
