That super spicy label-donning blonde is back and no I’m not talking about Gwen Stefani, actually I guess you could say that she is to the dance kids, what Gwen is to the commercial rock kids, a rough and tough, hard rhyming, freestyling blonde with a bite. After her successful launch of the epic, concept album of the same name, we have been served with the first of many singles to be lifted from the 28-tracker.
This adventure sees the highly creative force of Stuart Price (Jacques Lu Cont) and Concetta teaming up on their first of many tracks, as Concetta takes us to her own little insane fantasyland where she is the be all and end all of the universe, as her machine clones 20,000 more Princess Superstars. It’s an instantly excitable number, with the intricately woven bleepy, glitchy underlay, topped with a real storytelling Princess vibe, and just when you think you’ve got all she’s bound to give in this track, she stays one step ahead and turns it up a notch and slicks on her rap superstar hat yet again to return to the fore. Track one is an instant dancefloor classic, as the Superstar’s ‘Djs Are Not Rockstars’ partner in crime, Alexander Technique gives us his radio edit. It’s catchy, lingering, short and sweet, destined for much attention on our airwaves.
The Princess then puts the controls in the hands of good friend Junior Sanchez for the ‘Jnrsnchz’s Sound Machine Mix’ which is a brilliant display of all the power that lingered deep inside the track there somewhere. A hard-hitting, ground-swelling, rock it out version of the track, which kinda makes you wish that you hadn’t heard the other versions, cause this is the sure shot!
