Here in one cute, neat package is one mix compilation that’s sure to keep your summer sizzling along through extreme temperatures, as it burns up dancefloors of house parties everywhere and shoots straight to the top of everyone’s Christmas wishlist. But you must get in quick, cause this release is uber-limited and cheaper than your cousin’s burnt orange fake tan!

DFA has without a doubt been the hippest label of 2005, with a throng of releases to back it up. They’ve introduced us to the new talents of The Juan MacLean, Delia Gonzalez & Gavin Russom and continued to make us swoon and light up like a candle in full bloom with new releases from Black Dice and the mass-adored disco punk collective that is LCD Soundsystem (the brainchild of New York’s shining son, James Murphy).

Now come Christmas time, a time often spent recounting and reflecting all of the tiny and not so tiny shards of sonic euphoria that all piece together in a blisteringly jagged jigsaw puzzle that made 2005 everything it was. Most notably the pieces that managed to raise our eyebrows and temperatures and put a smile on our faces in the very first bar of each stunning track. Cause in the end that’s all it’s about, those slivers of happiness and excitement that pierced through our day to day lives, the ones we’ll remember fondly with a shadow of nostalgia as being the sound of another year past. DFA thought this would be the perfect time to give it’s legion of supportive fans a little something special. So Tim Goldsworthy & Tim Sweeney (2/3rds of the DFA production trio) have worked overtime and chosen all of the most stunning, gratifying and stand-out remixes for their artists and spliced them all together in one all killer, not a hint of filler, 48 minute mix.

The mix features the some hard to find and until now unreleased remixes of Black Dice, The Juan MacLean, LCD Soundsystem, Delia Gonzalez & Gavin Russom tracks. Which were ever so lovingly spiced, turned up, cut out, zipped in and obsessed over by the magic touches and studio know how of renowned remix forces, including DFA, Tiga, Soulwax, Booka Shade, Eric B & Cajmere.

On a mix full chocka-block full of highlights and magical stoner freakout bliss, the ending is sure to leave your head spinning uncontrollably as you dribble over the very thought of what 2006 will have in stall for the label!
