(Hussle / EMI)

The latest from the worlds house ‘now’ man is a rich vocal house piece oozing emotion, depth, a fresh summery vibe and plenty of quality cheese. Munich based producer Thomas Reichold is currently on top of the house world after his single ‘Your Body’ was hailed by many as the best track of 2005. He runs his own music television show and has being hailed by Pete Tong as the ‘next big thing’. His skills in production and remixing are a cut above his challenges with his works embodying that staying-power that is so rare today. His latest single ‘Take It’ is a collaboration with female vocalist Lima.

First up on the single the Radio Edit takes a more breaksy approach of the original mix. The vocal is soft and rich and is the ruler of the track, backed by crisp percussion and subtle melodies there’s no reason this track won’t be on the next Ministry of Sound Chillout Sessions. Also on the single is the Video Edit, which complements the film clip being flogged on Channel V and Video Hits.

Gians Bass Rock Mix with tough club drums and a building tempo demands attention. The remix takes snippets of the vocal and twists and effects them over growing percussion. A respectable remix but most likely will end up being too hard for most mainstream house clubs. The Club Edit with its growling electro undertones tends more electro/house side of house. Plenty of bass fused with a wicked concoction of hi-hat chattering makes this one for dancefloors. The tempo is faster than ‘Your Body’ and most of Novy’s other productions. Taking a stroll down the techy path the Dani Koenig Remix has that trance/big-room melody house vibe. Unfortunately I can see this track becoming uninspiring at a rapid pace.

The latest from Novy continues his strong hold on the house world. If you like it smooth, soothing and vocally weighted check out this single.
