Taking it’s time to introduce the small vocal sample ‘Thinking Murder’ has an ascending bassline and a sweet beat to juggle.  Once the vocals are in synth flies around the track to add depth and other elements are added into the backings to offer up a fully layered track that’s lead break is deep, fast and full of kicks to get anyone interested.  However, personally for me the best part of this track is when it breaks down, and you hear nothing but the vocals “You know you’re gonna get a kickin’ tonight”.

The flip starts off immediately with the looping vocals and the beat is introduced shortly after.  The best element of this track is easily the bassline; its big, its bling, its thumpin and it drops out halfway through to allow some corny and full of treble Asian samples to attack our ears for a few seconds before that awesome beat finds its way back and the bass compliments it once more. 

Overall, I would lean more towards the flip being the better of the two, both tracks are both heavy beated, big bassed tracks that offer up some great stuff yet ‘Present Tense’ has one of the most addictive basslines I’ve heard for some time and has some great break downs – its definitely worth a look for Dan F fans and breakbeat junkies alike.
