Check this diva out! Hailing from Philadelphia and working under the Ruff Ryders label, Eve looks strangely like the other half of the artist, Pink. Sporting a pink ‘do, a wacky pair of pants and the gorgeous Gwen Stefani in tow, Eve has got a hit on the cards. ‘Let me blow your mind’ is currently sitting at #8 on the ARIA charts.



To get straight to the point, this song is twangy and catchy. Eve raps her way through the song in three stanzas and Gwen sings the very infectious chorus in between. The vocals stand out and the music seems to be merely decoration. It’s one of those songs where when you sing it, it is actually easily recognisable.



I’ve read through the lyrics, I’m still not all that sure about the point of what she’s trying to say. Perhaps I’m slow, but it seems highly garnished with all that tough-shit hardcore, “I’ll crush anything” girl power. I reckon the song is about a girl trying to get her way into a guy’s life and now that she’s there, she’s not budging.

This is a strong track with awesome vocals that’s sure to get the people bouncing in the R’n’B clubs around Australia. The other tracks on the single are pretty good as well, particularly “Who’s that girl”.
