Moving Into Light is Black Fras’s debut release. However, this artist is no newcomer to the world of music; for the last seven years he has written and produced for an array of pop stars including Kylie Minogue, Jessica Simpson and Hall & Oates.

It comes as no surprise, then, that Moving Into Light belongs to the more commercial end of dance music. A slick vocal house track with crossover appeal, it has already been remixed by the Freemasons and included on a Ministry of Sound Annual. The latest mix of the track comes courtesy of Australian producers TV Rock. Fresh from the success of their ARIA chart-topping single Flaunt It, Grant Smilie and Ivan Gough add their personal touch to Moving Into Light, producing something quite different to both the original and the Freemasons Mix.

The vocals on the TV Rock Mix have been cut right back, with not much more than the line “my body is moving into light” repeated. In their place are distorted synths, which at times soar trance-like, while the track’s flow and beats give it an almost progressive feel. This mix has the makings of a peak time hit on the dance floor, whether at a house night or a more mainstream club.
