1. Eddie Thoneick’s Sensation Radio Mix (3:24)
2. Eddie Thoneick’s Sensation Mix (8:31)
3. Kurd’s Groove Sensation (8:43)
4. Eddie Thoneick’s Nu Tribe Dub (7:07)
The first track on this CDR is Eddie Thoneick’s Radio Mix. A shortened version of his Sensation mix, this is a high-nrg, floor-filler that would be suitable for most mainstream nightclubs and pubs. Mozzarella isn’t as cheesy as this song, and unless you’re DJ Nightlife or perhaps even Nick Skitz, then I doubt you’re ever going to use it.
Following up from the Radio Mix is the original length version. It is only slightly better than the shorter version, and like previously stated would be only best served to a DJ like Nick Skitz or maybe you’d see it snuck onto a Ministry of Sound CD. This track could be used during ‘peak-time’ at 2am at a mainstream nightclub that plays top 40 anthems.
Next up is Kurd’s Groove Sensation. This is a long, slow building version of the song that for me just doesn’t ever make it out of second gear. The vocals are a lot more pronounced in this version, and it would be suitable to play early in the evening. Unfortunately for me personally this does nothing to tickle my fancy, nor my eardrums.
The last chance for redemption of this single comes in the way of a Nu Tribe Dub. This is a tribal/breaks/electro-esque mix that has some nice effects throughout. I like the way it’s been done, but like the other mixes, this song really isn’t my thing. Could be used very early in the evening, but don’t expect this to be a chart topper.
You might expect to hear some of these versions on some mainstream radio frequencies, but if your knowledge of dance music extends further than Ministry of Sound, then I doubt you’ll be requesting it on your next night out.
