The Freestylers are back after the success of their ‘Raw as F**k’ LP with the first single off their forthcoming ‘Adventure’s In Freestyle’ album; ‘In Love With You’.

In the same way that ‘Push Up’ used a catchy lyric and funky up tempo beat to draw listeners in and move dance floors (as well as shift plenty of units), ‘In Love With You’ is a similarly styled upbeat funky breaker that is neatly structured and possesses tons of listening appeal. The catchy-as-hell chorus is where the track lives and breathes, and when the female lyricist pushes her voice up into the next octave you can just picture commercial dance floors full of eager girls screaming at the top of their lungs (don’t let that put you off). To labor a tired point, this track is built more for radios than dance floors, but that’s not necessarily a bad thing… as the Freestylers have proven themselves a group that can effectively straddle the line between commercial and underground, and should be able to effectively balance their personas to cater to both markets rather than alienate them.

There were no remixes on this pre-release (only a radio edit to speak of), so hopefully when the track gets a full release there will be at least a b-side to go with it – and from the brief samples I’ve heard of the ‘Adventures in Freestyle’ album, that can only be a good thing.
